Summer Term
Our topic this term is 'Beaches and Boats.' We will learn about the coastline of Britain and how it has been formed through costal erosion and discover how sea defences help try to protect the coastline from erosion and flooding. A local history focus also forms part of this topic where we ask the children to think about how and why the local coastline has changed over time.

Please read our fabulous poems below. They were inspired by 'The Dreadful Menace'; a poem written for the trailer of the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Truleigh Hill Residential
Please have a look at the gallery below to see some of the activities Year 6 engaged in on their recent overnight stay at Truleigh Hill, YHA.
They had the most amazing time connecting with nature and participating in activities such as: shelter building, fire lighting and campfires, pond dipping, story telling and natural art, as well as lots of walking on both days. Two wonderful days spent outdoors on the beautiful South Downs.
This artwork has been inspired by the Canadian, contemporary artist, Sandra Siberzweig.
Don't forget to keep playing games on TTRockstars to help with times tables. Please ask for a reminder if you have forgotten your log in details.
